Calling all Students!
The 2018 Japan Festival Wellington Needs You!
The sixth Japan Festival Wellington will be held on November 24 at the TSB Arena on the Wellington waterfront.
The success of the Festival lies in its family appeal, high energy level, colour, authenticity and strong community participation. Which is where you come in! We’re inviting all Japanese students and students of Japanese to come up with some great performance items as part of a non-stop entertainment programme on the Festival Day.
Maybe you’d like to organise a cosplay competition? Or a fashion show? Perhaps you fancy choreographing a contemporary or traditional dance? Or maybe you’d like to organise a fun stall-based activity – perhaps aimed at teaching people a bit of Japanese? Wherever your imagination takes you, we are keen to hear your ideas.
Confirmed cultural entertainment on-stage on the Festival Day will include YuNiOn and the amazing shamisen virtuoso Noriko Tadano from Sydney, Taiko drum performance, Japanese martial arts performance, large-scale calligraphy performance and more.
We need your help to make this the best Japan Festival ever! Please share your great ideas with Festival Performer Liaison Officer Johaniek Sulzberger, firstname.lastname@example.org mobile 022-165-1574
We look forward to working with you!
